EQUIPMENT USED TO CAPTURE THE IMAGES IN OUR PRINT GALLERIES

Cameras
The prints in our fine-art landscape galleries were captured predominantly with a medium-format Pentax 67 and a Fujichrome GX617 panorama camera as well as Nikon and Canon cameras.

Tripods
Jim uses lightweight carbon fiber Gitzo tripods. When his 3-lb tripod is combined with a 1-lb Acratech Ultimate Ball head, his entire tripod setup weighs in under 4 lbs; an important consideration when carrying a full backpack of camera gear into the backcountry.

Filters
Jim uses the Lee Filter system of 4″ x 4″ high-quality optical resin and glass filters for his landscape images.  Lee offers a wide range of polarizing, neutral density, and color correction filters.
