Pre-dawn magenta light illuminates the sky as the full moon sets over the Teton Range in this photograph of Grand Teton National Park. Brilliant fields of violet-colored Lupine carpet the low elevation valley of Jackson Hole during late spring as the snows of winter still blanket the high-mountain cirques. Two months later, when this field of flowers is dried and shriveled, brilliant wildflower displays such as this will just be starting to bloom at the 10,000 foot level in the park.
