Black & White photograph of Grand Teton National Park. Piercing the Wyoming sky at 13,770 feet, snow-clad Grand Teton peak rises above the spruce-covered slopes of Signal Mountain at the left side of this image. Mount Saint John and Mount Woodring fill the scene to the right. The calm waters of Oxbow Bend host flocks of Canada geese and white pelicans during the early part of October as they gather to fly south to warmer climes for the winter. While Grand Teton is the most well known of Wyoming’s peaks, it is eclipsed in height by 13,804-foot Gannet Peak in the Wind River range to the southeast. This black & white horizontal photograph was captured with a 6×7 format camera.
